Winning twice the funding competition held by a leading research funding organization in the Middle East region, namely Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF). Two projects were funded by ASTF, each project lasted 2 years. These projects led to breakthrough and patented outcomes. The lump sum of funding is about 540,000 USD. 15.Three projects were funded by University Putra Malaysia and led to three patents registered at Malaysian IPO (myIPO). The lump sum of funding is approximately 250,000 USD. 16.Supervised one PhD and two master students in the field of Microbiology in University Putra Malaysia. 17. More than 67 refereed scientific articles were published in reputable international journals in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology for the last 5 years. The first patent describes the discovery of novel and unprecedented approach for experimental designing of bacteriophages into highly lytic and specific antibacterial agents against any target bacteria (alternatives for antibiotics). The second patent describes a newly invented phage-based rapid diagnostic test by using designed bacteriophages in Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate- based rapid diagnostic assays for pathogenic bacteria.
